There has been a lot of new products behind the scenes that have been being developed or improved upon as we keep up support for the community. One of the most recent developments has been a part of the engine program. 2.0T and 2.4L optimas/sonatas now have a lot of options for withstanding high horsepower abuse.
For the 2.0L and 2.4L, we have wanted to offer something more affordable for those looking for a moderate but not insane bump in horsepower. We have partnered with Traum to develop our more budget-friendly 2.0L, 2.2L, and 2.4L configurations. For the 2.4L we made a special configuration to help with the rod ratio that the motor currently has and make it more user-friendly for parts. Also for those wanting to stay all motor higher compression ratios are possible as well for the 2.4L so if you wanted to make a nitrous fed 2.4L on e85 that surprises everyone we can do that.
2.0L has the standard configuration but also we added our 2.2L variant. No using stock rods to achieve this. (more Power) This configuration is for Darton sleeved motors where we are able to bore out the sleeves to adjust for the increased volume. The other way of achieving the 2.2L that we have seen people do creates a rod ratio less than stock form, as well as replacing with stock components that don't necessarily equate to being able to hold the added power. A lower rod ratio means more side loading on the sleeves which is more friction. More friction means less hp, and more stress on factory sleeves.
The other thing we have been developing is adding our o ring grooves to the intake manifolds to accept the factory gaskets. This is for the TB and for the head to intake surface.
New turbo manifold flanges are now available for our turbo kits as well.
